"SHAMANIC HEALING"
The 2° International Meeting "SHAMANIC
HEALING" was a real success. The offer of the workshops was wide and the
numerous partecipants had the possibility to encounter many cultures: from Africa,
represented by Papa Elie Hen, to Mexico, with Brant Secunda, from Siberia, with
Ai-Tchourek Ojun and Vera Sazina, to Nepal, with Indrabahadur Newari and Bhola Banstola.
All partecipants got deeply involved in the various seminaries, they enjoyed a living and
true experience, rather than a purely theoretical and intellectual one.
Ai-Tchourek Ojun and Vera Sazina, shamans
from Tuva, led us to experience the power of some traditional methods of purification and
they taught us how to sing purification songs, after drinking sacred milk.
Indrabahadur Newari and Bhola Banstola,
accompanied with the rhythm of the drum, led us to discover our inner guide and performed
the Karga Puja, an ancient shamanic ritual, in order to eliminate the obstacles that can
block our spiritual evolution.
Brant Secunda told us of Grandfather Fire and of
His great purification power and introduced us to the Deer Dance. We have all sung,
drummed, shook the rattles and stamped our blissfull dance into Mother Earth.
Papa Elie Hien reminded us how to keep in touch
with our Ancestors, because only being tied to them we can find a connection with God and
our own Spirit and be whole again.
The last ritual in honour of the Ancestors was
led by Papa Elie the Hien, the elder, together with all the other shamans, according to
the ancient tradition of Burkhina Faso, his country of origin. At the end all
participants were blessed with Sacred water, as a wishfulfilling thought for
prosperity and well-being for the year 2000.
Once again, what strikes us more, at the end of
these intense and extraordinary three days, is the extraordinary semplicity, humility and
harmony that the shamans emanate and transmit to everybody as if for osmosis.
Their message, for everybody, is that we must
meditate on the necessity to keep in touch with our origins, our Ancestors and to engage
ourself to respect the Earth as Our Mother.
